Thanks for sharing that information, Emma.

I like the overseas component — as global commerce continues to grow in importance, I would think students would do well to visit those countries with whom they’ll be doing business with going forward.

A one-year program is reasonable in length, especially given that the economy isn’t likely to improve that much before the end of 2010.

For those looking for a longer, more intensive program, the University of Virginia’s top-ranked McIntire School of Commerce recently launched a one-year M.S. in Commerce. It’s designed specifically for liberal arts, science and engineering majors. The pre-experience program offers tracks in either Financial Services or Marketing & Management, as well as features a six-week global study component to either Europe or Asia.

Hi Mark — Not off hand. I would think that checking with local business schools would reveal that information. Smith Business Edge seems to be a new program, therefore programs in your area may be in the process of forming right now.

Does somebody know other programs alike the Smith Business Edge, especially outside the U.S.?
