I think that online colleges have so much more pros than cons these days. Especially when you think of how many college students spend their extracurricular time if they are in a group. When you are taking online classes, you focus more on what needs to get done and have fewer distractions.

Thank you for clarifying your college's roll with StraighterLine. In other words, select classes can be transferred by students to Charter Oak State College with the instruction accomplished through StraighterLine. I stand corrected.

I want to point out the inaccuracy in your article, Off to College? Go Virtual Instead!
This paragraph is not accurate:
"Together, these parties allow prospective students to take one course at a time from any of the partner schools right online for a set price: just $99 per month. That fee includes ten hours of 1-to-1 instructional support, if desired. A Course Advisor is made available, a person who can be reached by phone for guidance. Students can mix and match courses between participating colleges."
Students are taking courses developed by Straigherline from Straighterline and Straigherline is providing the tutoring and advisor. The partner colleges have agreed to accept certain courses in transfer. For example Charter Oak has agreed to accept 4 of the Striagherline courses in transfer.
