Specialized training for prospective cabin crewmembers
If you’re looking to start a career in flying, then a college degree isn’t necessary to become a flight attendant. Certainly, you can have a degree, but the hiring requirements for cabin crewmembers by the airlines typically requires you to have a high school diploma or equivalent.
The airline market is currently in the doldrums, which means hiring is also down though not out. You can get your training directly through the airlines or consider the following five flight attendant training schools to help you get your wings:
AeroStar Training Services
Located in central Florida, AeroStar Training Services offers a comprehensive flight attendant training program covering basic indoctrination, FAA regulations, cabin service, emergency equipment, evacuation and more. Learn the fundamentals of the craft and gain an understanding of what the industry is all about.

I went to The Travel Academy in Minnesota and honestly loved it! The Staff there is great, and very helpful. They touch base in all areas of Flight Attending not to mention Cruise Ships, World Span (Travel Agents etc) Car rentals, and Interviews. I highly reccomend going there!
Thank you for your feedback, Holly Jean. It is always good to hear from students who have actually completed these courses.
After talking at great length with Mary Lou Gallagher, the owner of Beyond and Above, I signed up for her Corporate Flight Attendant training to take place August 9, 2010..This date was the only time I would be able to attend and I told Mary Lou that my daughter would be returning from her Father’s to begin the school year so no other date would work..She said no problem. 4 days later she called me and said she had bad news..The class was cancelled because I was the only one to sign up. I asked her if she ever had class with just one student and she said no because the other students act as passengers for briefings and emergency evacuations. At this point I asked Mary Lou for my money back and she said no..I proceeded to beg her for my money back and she said no. I filed a civil suit against her and have since had Judge Joe Brown who we all have seen on National T.V. contact me as well as Ms. Gallagher..I think she may have declined the opportunity to appear on television..she may look bad and may be bad for business..Anyway so I am out four grand..yes, that’s right 4 thousand dollars..I have have a court ordered processor serve Mary Lou papers to appear in court..She doesn’t answer her door…I have had him call her and she hung up on him…Now you tell me if you would like to sign up with Ms. Gallagher and her crooked ways–
