One way of doing this is by starting a college blog.
There are others in the same situation as you and sharing things as simple as your experiences can help someone else.
How can you start your own blog?
You can go on free hosting sites and design your site in a day. Once you have settled that, begin letting your creative juices flow. Write about things that are happening on campus. The possibilities are endless.
Remember people want edu-tainment. You will be limited to how much you can monetize your site because you do not own it. In the same token you can get your blogs sponsored by different companies. In that way you are working directly with the companies and get all the money yourself.
- You can become a secret shopper and blog about your experiences. Make sure you sort out the legalities before telling people about the companies you might have been spying on.
- Organize activities or sporting events on the campus and write college blog posts about the event afterwards.
- If you are creative and know your way around cameras, you can start a YouTube channel.
- You can document your entire journey. Begin with the moment you decided which career path you were going to follow. Take it from there. Most high school kids will be able to relate, and new college kids will enjoy reading a real person’s view on the process.
- You can even put together Kits. In true YouTube style you can have a “what I have in my backpack for a day.” An essentials kit for classes, hair, parties. The list is endless.
The Key To Blogging Success
The key is being relevant and informative. You are at the heart of the action and most college kids want to belong to a community. Remember, everyone is away from home and family.
Comfort and security will attract most people. The power of knowing that they are not alone will go miles. The more traffic you get to your site, the more money you will generate.
Eventually you can own your domain. This will make people trust your site more. It is more impressive when you are approaching businesses to work with you.
You can share this information with your friends and family.
They will also be able to make some side money. Share affiliate links with them and you will get a cut of the money they make without lifting a finger. Extra money is always useful. Start your blog today and make some money.
