When growing up, we have always been filled with the idea that if we study hard, we will get a good job after graduation which will sustain our lives. The dream of getting a good job, moving out and getting your own crib, having some extra pennies to pay for some little luxuries is always entrenched deep down in our minds. But after graduation it is not always as easy as it is said.
More often than not, many young people find themselves sending out hundreds of applications without getting a substantial job like the one they have always dreamt about. This can be a source of depression and discouragement. If you happen to sail on this boat, you should not worry because there are many people facing the same challenge as you.
There are many reasons as to why it this happens and that’s the reason am writing this to encourage someone that all is not lost and you can still continue on your path to success.
As you grow, you find that finances tend to shrink as the demand increases. We all have to tighten our belt because we can no longer receive the support of our guardians as before. This is the best time for returning to school.
I know you have heard of some people who have been looking for work for a year, others for longer. This is the best time to go back to school because as you continue aging it might get it harder in your old age.
Expand your career field
There has been some negative press reports going around but believe it or not, there are still other career fields that are expanding. Many other fields are booming and all you need to do is to get knowledge in that particular field. Your field might also be good and all you need to do is get just a little bit of extra knowledge to excel in it.
The first step in any “back-to-school” decision is doing an assessment on what you excel in and what offers the best proposition. View our grad assessment section. It will help you determine why you should go back-to-school. But before you go, please help us grow by giving us a quick comment/share so everyone can enjoy this holiday read.
There is enough financial aid
You might be afraid of going to school because of the finances. Yes, this might be a hindrance but you should not give up that easily. There are very many ways in which you can get finances to advance your education.
For example, the stimulus plan had a clause for those people who wanted to go back to school. You can also check with your previous college as they would be having scholarships for those who would like to continue.
It is no secret the economy is not looking very bright, but you can still go back to school. If you think that this is enough encouragement for you, please do not digest it alone but kindly share with your friends on social media like twitter and Facebook. You might encourage someone who was just about to give up. By sharing you also get to meet other people with the same challenge who might give you more advice.
