Accountants and auditors, who work with financial records, can expect to see a growth of 13 percent and bring home a median salary of over $63,000. Environmental engineers, who utilize the sciences to tackle environmental issues, can expect to see a projected growth of 15 percent over the next decade and a median salary of over $86,000.
There are some fields, however, that are growing at a more rapid speed. Physical therapy assistants, who work directly with patients needing support regaining movement and pain management, can expect over a 40 percent growth throughout the next 10 years and a median salary of over $53,000.
Interpreters and translators are seeing an even higher growth with 47 percent projected over the next decade and a median salary of over $42,000.
Few fields, however, are projecting such a substantial 10-year growth as that of industrial organizational psychologist, which expects numbers over 50 percent. With a median salary of over $80,000, this job involves psychologists applying their skills in a workplace setting, helping to solve problems and increase employee productivity.
