  1. The individual is a current member of ACCA (UK) in good standing.
  2. The person has already obtained the membership by completing the professional programme.
  3. The person has fulfilled practical experience requirements.
  4. The person has a valid degree from an accredited university if they had been admitted in the organization after 31 December 1997.
  5. The person has no records of disciplinary action against them for five years before the submission of the application to CGA Canada.

People aiming to pursue the qualification in Canada need to fulfill the below-mentioned conditions set by CGA Canada under the Mutual Recognition Agreement.

  1. The individual is a Canadian citizen or has a Canadian study or work permit.
  2. The person has a minimum work experience of two years in the accounting field, preferably in the domain in which the person wishes to specialize in the program.
  3. The person doesn’t have any records of disciplinary action at the time of or five years before the application.
  4. The person has already completed the Canadian Tax and Law Professional Development course.
  5. The person has at least a 12th standard certificate with passing marks in at least five subjects including English and Mathematics.

ACCA members are valued worldwide and enjoy prominence in the world of accounting and finance in many countries, including Canada. Since the qualification is challenging to obtain, several universities in Canada offer preparation courses to help individuals ace their exams.
