Once you learn the concepts of teaching English to non-speakers you’ll soon find yourself in a country where English is not the primary language. Being immersed in this new language will cause you to learn some of the basic phrases and words that you need to shop, conduct your personal business, and tend to your transactions. Learning this new language will help you to increase your own confidence in your ability to learn and function away from your comfort zone.

You can also ask your students to teach you some of their language as you instruct them in English as a foreign language lessons; everyone will take pleasure in helping their teacher adjust to the new surroundings. This can also help to keep your students motivated which prompts them to learn faster.

After your TEFL Academy training is completed and you have accepted a new job abroad, you’ll find that the doors to new experiences and new places have been opened to you. You’ll probably have a flexible schedule which will allow you to travel around this new country to enjoy the sights, sounds, and culture which will be an enjoyable benefit for you. Your students will also share information with you about places to go and things to see whilst you’re in their country. It’s important to choose a country that looks inviting to you so that you can explore once you arrive; seeing attractions and participating in activities will make your entire experience more rewarding.

If you want to see the world and get paid for your work all at the same time, consider a job teaching English so that you can expand your horizons and grow as a person in the new environment that surrounds you.
