If you are taking too many classes and you aren’t able to get anything else done, you might find yourself stressed out. Start out with a small course load, especially if you are a new student.

Next semester, you can add an extra course. Make your college course load a gradual change that you get used to. That way you won’t be struggling to keep up with homework.

3. Have a Healthy Breakfast

Getting a good start to your day is necessary when you have classes in the morning, an important test you need to concentrate on, or otherwise need to prepare yourself for what is ahead. It’s not always possible to have a full meal, especially if you are in a rush.

Consider healthy choices like a peanut butter bar, fruit, or a quick bowl of healthy cereal when necessary. That way you feel nourished and ready for your lesson without sacrificing much on time. Eating can help you feel better and less cranky in the morning.

4. Plan Out Your Day When Possible

Planning out your day can make it easier for you to be more efficient and know what to expect. Do you have a busy day where there are tests in just about every class?

If that’s the case, you should allow yourself time to study and review, and not plan on getting many chores done that day. On the other hand, if you have a free day, this is a good time to tie up loose ends and take care of all those little things you had been letting go.

Get a planner and start writing down when important things are going to occur, so you don’t forget about them.
