Grab a Coffee
If you’re like most college students, you probably run on caffeine. Make the most of your coffee addiction and take the time to check out a local coffee shop. Most college towns have some unique spots with delicious drinks.
A single coffee drink should only cost you a few dollars, so you and your friends can treat yourselves to a great cup of coffee every so often! Plus, hanging out with a friend over coffee can be a great way to catch up and spend quality time together.
If you’re running short on time as well as money, make plans to study at a coffee shop with a friend or two. You’ll still be getting homework done, but you’ll have some great company and be in a fun spot while you do it.
Host a Game Night
If you have enough space, have all your friends over for a game night! There are plenty of great options, such as Jackbox Games. The party packs are fairly inexpensive, and you’ll get countless hours of play out of them.
If one of your friends has a Nintendo Switch, you could also play Mario Kart or Smash Bros with your buddies. If you already have the games, this activity is completely free. However, you guys can always split the cost of a couple of pizzas if you get hungry!
Go Thrifting
Going thrifting is a great way to find room decor items or clothing at budget-friendly prices. Plus, the items you’ll find are usually more unique than those you’d find in the mall. Thrifting is more fun with friends, so grab a couple of pals on a Saturday afternoon and hit the local Goodwill!
Visit an Antique Show
There are plenty of reasons you should consider buying antiques, but the best one is the opportunity to spend quality time with your friends and do something new. If you have an antique mall in your area, it can be tons of fun to wander around and explore with your pals. These malls have all kinds of items—vintage clothes, antique glassware, crystals, comic books, decor, and more. Many of the booths also have sales every so often, so you might be able to find some with great discounts. Some areas even have pop-up antique fairs that can be a great weekend activity. Even if you don’t buy anything, the experience alone is worth it.
You don’t have to spend tons of money to have a good time. These cheap ways for college students to have fun with friends are sure to be a blast!
